Philip Hart was a Democratic politician, lieutenant governor of Michigan, and senator.

History
In 1954, with G. Mennen Williams leading the ticket, Hart was elected lieutenant governor of Michigan. He served until he was elected to the Senate in 1958.
Hart served in the senate until his death in 1976.

Hart cosponsored the bipartisan Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.
