The Congress is the federal national legislature of the United States.

House of Representatives
The House of Representatives is the lower body of the legislature. Per the Apportionment Act (1911) and the Reapportionment Act (1929), there are 435 representatives.
There are also 5 non-voting delegates from Washington, D.C., Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa. Additionally, there is an elected resident commissioner of Puerto Rico, who functions as a representative in all matters except votes on the floor. (For example, they can be a voting member of committees.)
Senate
The Senate is the upper body of the legislature. Since the 17th Amendment, there are 100 senators, 2 per state.
