1947 General Elections
The 1947 General elections were the second elections in Japan following World War II. These were also the last elections held under the old constitution. They were held on April 25th, 1947.

An upper house election was held just days earlier on April 20th, although technically under the rules of the new constitution.
The last lower house elections were held in 1946.
