Don Republic
The Don Republic was a historic republic in modern Russia. It was established through the White movement.

History
The territory of the Don Cossack host, centered on Novocherkassk, staged the reorganization of Russian Imperial Army high command after the White movement.
Novocherkassk was liberated from the Don Soviet Republic in April 1918 and a Don Provisional Government was declared. In May, Krasnov was elected as the first ataman.
The Don Army coordinated with the White Army and in 1919 merged with the Volunteer Army under Denikin's command. The much larger Don Cossack Host was reluctant to fight outside of their territory.
Bogaewsky was elected to replace Krasnov as ataman in 1919.
Following defeat in the Civil War, Bogaewsky led many Don Cossacks into exile in Sofia.
