Planning Database

The Planning Database is a collection of geographic characteristics.

Description

The database aggregates characteristics from various Census Bureau products. These are recorded as statistics at the level of block groups and tracts.

A key component of the database is the Low Response Score (LRS), which was designed to capture the responsivity effects of all other characteristics. It is used to identify hard-to-survey populations for Census administration.

The Response Outreach Area Mapper (ROAM) is an interactive dashboard for accessing the database.
