The Centre (Die Mitte) is a political party in Switzerland.

History
The party was established in 2021 as a merger of the CVP and factions that had splintered off from the SVP. They continued to officially use the name of the CVP for several years.
The CVP itself was originally the Catholic Conservative Party, founded in 1912. The party stagnated in the late 20th century, rebranding as CVP in 1970, but ultimately losing most representation to the SVP.
