Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between the United States and Japan

The Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security, known more generally as the U.S.-Japan Security Treaty or Anpo (安保), is the military treaty between the United States and Japan that provides for stationing the U.S. military in Japan and guarantees mutual defense.
