Emil Hácha
Emil Hácha was a politician in the late Austro-Hungarian Empire, a founding figure in the First Czechoslovak Republic, and the first president of Czechoslovakia.

Hácha received a doctorate of law from the University of Prague.
Policies
Supreme Court
Hácha served as deputy president and then president of the Supreme Administrative Court of Czechoslovakia.
Presidency
Following the Munich Betrayal, Beneš resigned as president. Hácha's short presidency is considered to be the Second Republic.
Czechoslovakia was quickly further partitioned by the First Vienna Award.
In March 1939, Hácha met with Hitler in Berlin; he was told that Czechoslovakia would be immediately invaded. Czechoslovakia was then forced to became a client state. Shortly thereafter, Czechoslovakia was annexed by Germany and became a Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.
Legacy
Hácha was arrested when the USSR captured Prague and died in detention.
