Presidents of Bosnia and Herzegovina
A history of the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Under the terms of the Dayton Agreement, Bosnia and Herzegovina is led by a three-member presidency. The three presidents are elected separately to represent Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks. Each presidency lasts 4 years; replacement of one or more presidents does not reset the term.
The presidency has a chair that rotates among the presidents automatically every 8 months.
Presidents cannot serve for more than two consecutive terms.
