Quashquame
Quashquame (also known as Jumping Fish) was a tribal leader of the Sauk nation.

History
On behalf of the Sauk and Meskwaki nations, he was compelled to sign the Treaty of St. Louis in 1804 and ceded all land between the Illinois and Mississippi, as well as a portion of the Missouri River basin.
Legacy
Quashquame is remembered as a foil to Makataimeshekiakiak; he favored appeasement and diplomacy.
