National Security Resources Board
The National Security Resources Board (NSRB) was a defense procurement agency.
Composition
The board consisted of eight members. One member would be appointed as chair, and sit on the NSC ex officio.
History
The National Security Act established the agency with exclusive power over procurement.
By 1950, the agency was effectively defunct as DOD has effectively regained power over its logistics. That year, Truman attempted to revive the independent agency as ODM. The NSRB was formally dissolved in 1953.
