The National Security Agency (NSA) is a DOD intelligence agency.

Composition

The NSA is overseen by the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security.

The agency is led by a uniformed director who is simultaneously chief of the Central Security Service and commander of the U.S. Cyber Command. There is also a civilian deputy director.

The agency is divided into directorates, of which the number and names are not publicly disclosed.
