United States Department of Veteran Affairs
The United States Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) is an executive department of the federal government. It oversees health services and benefits for veterans of the Armed Forces.
Composition
The department is led by a secretary and deputy secretary.
The undersecretary for Benefits administers the Veterans Benefits Administration.
The undersecretary for Health administers the Veterans Health Administration.
The undersecretary for Memorial Affairs administers the National Cemetary Administration.
There are also several assistant secretaries administering offices.
