The crown dependencies are autonomous governments that are subjects of the British monarchy.

Governments
Jersey and Guernsey, covering the Channel Islands, are governed as bailiwicks. Bailiffs and deputy bailiffs are appointed by the monarch.
The Isle of Man is governed by the Tynwald, an elected bicameral parliament, and by the council of ministers led by a chief minister.
The monarch is also represented by a leiutenant governor in each of the crown dependencies.
