Governments
The head of state for these regions is the British monarch.
Jersey and Guernsey, covering the Channel Islands, are governed as bailiwicks. Bailiffs and deputy bailiffs are appointed by the monarch.
The Isle of Man is governed by the Tynwald, an elected bicameral parliament, and by the council of ministers led by a chief minister.
The monarch is also represented by a lieutenant governor in each of the crown dependencies.
