History
The Move Forward Party came about when the Future Forward Party was outlawed in 2020. The vast majority (55) of their MPs joined the Ruam Pattana Chart Thai Party, which had been founded in 2014. One of those MPs, Pita Limjaroenrat, was appointed leader of the new party.
In the 2023 general election, the Move Forward Party won 38% of the vote and became the largest party in parliament.
