Shell

sh(1) is a POSIX compliant shell.

Several distributions of Linux actually use bash(1) or dash(1) to satisfy sh(1). BSD operating systems commonly use tcsh(1).


Example

echo "Hello, world!"

This can be executed like:

sh ./example.sh


Installation

All Linux and BSD distributions, have sh(1) installed.
