History

Louis I was the eldest surviving son of Charles I.


Reign

Bogdan I rebelled and established an independent Principality of Moldavia. After years of invasions and occupations, Bogdan's grandson Lațcu finally was vassalized when Louis inherited the kingdom of Poland upon the death of his uncle Casimir III.


Legacy

The kingdoms of Hungary and Croatia went to his eldest surviving daughter Mary and her husband Sigismund.

The kingdom of Poland went to Jadwiga.
