The Hungarian Communist Party (MKP) (Magyar Kommunista Párt) was a political party in Hungary.

History
The party was created by Kun, under the name Party of Communists in Hungary (KMP) (Kommunisták Magyarországi Pártja). He took direct orders from Lenin.
The party was renamed to the Hungarian Communist Party during the Soviet occupation.
In 1948, the party was forcibly merged with the SDP to form the MDP.
