Capital Expansion, Rate of Growth, and Employment

Capital Expansion, Rate of Growth, and Employment (DOI: https://doi.org/10.2307/1905364) was written by Evsey Domar in 1946.

Domar's work is closely related to the earlier work of Roy F. Harrod, and as a result the model is known as the Harrod-Domar model.

Reading Notes

Classically, the issue with Domar's work is that the model is fit to post-war and developed countries. There was a significant population of underemployed workers; as a result, capital was the limiting productive factor.
