The Republika Srpska is one of two political entities within Bosnia and Herzegovina, alongside the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Dayton Agreement is the basis for sharing power with Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Composition
The republic is led by a prime minister elected from the National Assembly.
The republic also has a directly-elected president. For the most part, they only exercise ceremonial powers.
