Alfred I was a prince of the House of Windischgrätz and general in the Austrian Empire.

History
Alfred became a highly decorated officer during the Napoleonic Wars.
When the Revolutions of 1848 reached Vienna, Alfred imposed martial law and put down the Vienna Uprising with brutal force. He was then reassigned to govern Prague.
Following the Prague Slavic Congress in June, the Whitsuntide events (or Pentacostal Storm) erupted there and again Alfred put down the uprising with brutal force.
